You know, some people like to eat dinner on their couch, some on the floor in front of the tv, and others, at the kitchen table. A kitchen table is so much more than a place to eat. Imagine: Gathered around the dinner table, a family of 6, communing and building their relationships with each other. They go over their days' highs and lows, discuss each others' lives and laugh. Yes, times are hard, but gathering together at the end of the day is what keeps them going. 

That's how we view a table. beremedy is all about eating good food with good people and building relationships to learn about and support each other. We know of a family who is without a kitchen table. This family of 6 has fallen under harsh circumstances and can't afford a kitchen table. Let's do what we can to get them a special place to gather at the end of the day and eat a meal. We need:

Middle school can be tough. Those days of awkward hair cuts and growing into miniature adults were so.... weird. Most middle schoolers are self-conscious about their appearance. We get it though, kids can be pretty judgmental. To avoid the teasing, one might consider wearing a different shirt everyday. You'd think this would be easy. Well, not for some. Unfortunately, there are countless students that come from low income families that don't have the means to provide new clothes. We have a student that needs some help with clothes. He's 13 and only has a couple shirts to wear. He'll wear one 4 days in a row sometimes. Let's help. Here's what we need:

One of the organizations we work with has told us of a boy who need some shoes. He comes from a low income family and his single mom can't give him shoes. Let's help them out.
